To aid in the reduction of the incidence of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Agency services shall include crisis intervention, emergency shelter, victim advocacy, public education and community awareness, statistical analysis, and involvement in legislative reform.

About Safehouse Crisis Center
Safehouse Crisis Center, Inc. is dedicated to serving the adult and child victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking in a seven county area of Southeast Kansas including Crawford, Montgomery, Linn, Bourbon, Cherokee, Labette, and Wilson Counties. Domestic violence is common and can be lethal and occurs within both heterosexual and same sex relationships. It affects all ages, cultures, religions, educational backgrounds, income levels, and individuals with disabilities. Violence comes in many forms and is a pattern of controlling behaviors including physical, sexual, or psychological/emotional attacks, and isolation or economic control that adults and adolescents use against their intimate partners or family members. Our services offer victims safety and empowerment to choose a healthy alternative to a life of abuse. Services are free and confidential and available to all persons regardless of ethnicity, education level, economic status, sexual orientation, immigration status, geographic location, spiritual beliefs, physical or mental ability, or criminal status.

The CEVC, a program provided by Safehouse Crisis Center, provides monitored exchanges and visits between parents and their children. The CEVC has trained monitor and security staff to provide a secure space for visits between children and non-residential parents. Visits can range from 1-2 hours depending on distance traveled.
